Wednesday Update

August 13th, 2008 by Rian | Comments Off | Filed in Updates

Well I should have known I couldn’t walk into Bed, Bath & Beyond without walking out with several hundred dollars worth of crap. (Well, not crap really, nice stuff). I went down there today to replace my old 3-quart cooking pot, which decided to malfunction while making my healthy breakfast of organic brown rice this morning. (Long story I won’t get into).

So then I grabbed a new and much nicer one… and man, what a difference it makes to own nice cookware. Stuff doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan, for one thing! Then I added a 1-quart pot to my shopping cart. And several nice candles. And some new fruit knives. My old fruit knife got bent up when I attempted to open a bottle of wine with it several months back. (Another long story I won’t get into).

Anyway, I’ve been doing fabulously on the diet front. Anywhere from 1300-1600 calories with exercise each day. But the scale won’t budge from the number it’s at.

I don’t know… if the scale doesn’t start to move soon, it’s going to be moving out of my 9th floor window…

The Scale

The scale truly baffles me.

Truly.

Truly.

Grrr… I know I’m building muscle like crazy right now and all, but I’d really like that damn number to go down.

I mean, seriously.

I guess it’s time to cut back a little. Today I’ve already cut back without really meaning to and will end up consuming around 1300 calories once I’ve had dinner (which is currently in the oven and will be ready soon).

Damn scale, move it! $@$^%$?!

:-)

Later update:

Well, I finished dinner about 40 minutes ago. I want to take a walk along the river for additional exercise (already did 30 minutes of vigorous elliptical and 10 minutes of yoga earlier) but it’s still 101 degrees with a heat index of 104. No thanks…
