I am drinking the most delicious smoothie right now! It’s really cold and refreshing.
Here are the ingredients:
- 484 grams cantaloupe
- 203 grams red grapes
- 89 grams rainbow chard
- 275 grams of frozen banana
- Several ice cubes
Calories: 566
Fiber: 14.8
Protein: 10.1
Fat: 2.3
Not bad, given the fact that there are about 6-9 servings of fruits/greens in there!
I had to throw in extra ice in order to thicken the smoothie. (I always seem to overdo it with the fresh ingredients as opposed to the frozen ingredients). The end result is an ice-cold smoothie that tastes mostly like cantaloupe. Very refreshing and delicious.
One thing I forgot to mention in this morning’s post is that yesterday and last night I was in “heavy elimination” mode all day. I’m sure most of you know what that mean… my body was getting rid of stuff inside that I clearly didn’t need. (And we’ll leave it at that!)
I accidentally scared the mouse into running into my room last night. I came walking out of my computer room and saw him in front of my bookcases. He saw me and made a run for it around the corner into my room… Grrrrreeaattt. Today I’m feeling a lot better so I’ll definitely be hitting the hardware store.

i love cantaloupe in smoothies!! swiss chard, rainbow chard and spinach are the best “green” additions for me. try with avocado, its thick and delicious. avocado, banana and 2 cups spinach… perfect!
