A Typical Day Of Eating

July 21st, 2008 by Rian | Filed under Meals, Miscellaneous.

I’ve had a couple of people ask me what I eat in a typical day on the plan I’m on. Although I have shared it in past posts, here is what I have had yesterday and what I’ve had so far today…

Yesterday, I had a pear and a banana with coffee for breakfast, then a turkey, cheese, tomato and lettuce sandwich for lunch, a few lifesavers in between for a snack, then grilled chicken and vegetables for dinner, and a few cheese cubes as an after-dinner snack.

Today I had a pear and banana for breakfast again, a roast beef and cheese deli sandwich and cottage cheese for lunch, and will be having grilled chicken, tomato soup and steamed organic veggies for dinner, plus maybe a few pieces of hard candy thrown in between meals. I may also throw in some mixed berries after dinner for an extra kick of vitamins and nutrition.

Sounds like pretty good stuff. I have a question though. If I eat nothing but fruit for breakfast, I find that I am ravenously hungry within like an hour for lunch. I am guessing this is not the case for you but I was just wondering if you had that problem in the beginning and maybe got used to it. Anyway, I just though I’d throw a tip your way, you can use it or not. Have you ever tried throwing in a few nuts with the fruit? Not too many, say 4-6 almonds or whatever you like. I find that this leaves me much more satiated, gives an added boost of protein and nutrition, but has minimal calories.

Hope you feel better soon, and congrats on a job well done!

Hi Nicole, I am not hungry for anything but fruit in the mornings for the most part. My blood sugar stays stable so long as I eat at least 3 servings spread out over the course of the first several hours I am up. I especially like eating only fruit for the first few hours because it’s so easy for the body to digest that your body has energy to do other things (like detoxify, for example).
