Great job on staying on track. You're right. It's hard as hell to get over an addiction. Keep up the good work!

hi!
ur doin great. ur always to positive and that can take u a long way, just keep up beat about everything.
i have been in recovery for an ED and addiction is hard, i used to always think 2morro i'll give up, then it would be 2morro and 2morro. I always thought I would be able to give up overnight and with my ED (bulimia) it just didn't work and once i realised that i started to revcover. it took me about a year to cut down, and although i have my ups and downs, i'm a whole lot better.
i think with AA they recommend u to got tee-total for life??? so my 'cutting down' mite not work for u, but it shows that addiction CAN be beaten.
my tip for surviving this gruelling time is to take every day slowly, dnt think about months and years just until the end of the day.
good luck!
am a big fan of ur blogs btw

Rian,

I was addicted to smoking for the longest time. I can related - I had to make major lifestyle changes. It really messes with everything in your life when you try to stop. And it took me almost a YEAR before my life finally settled down. Addiction is an awful thing, but congrats on being willing to change your life for the better. You'll be amazed at how much your life will change. Congrats!
