Exercise Rocks

I love exercise. Well, at least when I feel good enough to do it.

Let me reveal a secret to you all now: the last few months that I was in New Hampshire (excluding the time I was on the Kimkins diet, when I actually felt good), I mostly felt like utter crap, physically. I would walk down the street, about 300 feet, to the nearest store, and be out of breath. Let me tell you how embarrassing that is. It would take an effort to do much of any exercise at all. I’d either take a cab everywhere, or after I got my car, I’d drive everywhere.

I would exercise on my stationary bike here and there, but never got too much into it. I would try half-heartedly to get into shape and exercise, but things really weren’t happening.

But fast-forward to now: I am in a new state - in the midwest - and somehow, after all the months of traveling, I am in MUCH better shape. I can exercise moderately for 20 minutes and still not be out of breath, for example. I mean, 2 months ago, I would be out of breath merely walking down the damn street! That is a HUGE improvement.

All of my clothes are loose now, as mentioned in a previous post. I have decided not to post again until they aren’t fitting anymore. After all, I’m currently in 9/10 clothing. I won’t be even half-way happy until I get back into a Junior Size 7.

These days, I get exercise in the following ways:

1. I live on the 9th floor of a building, and park on the 5th floor; sometimes I walk up or down the stairs instead of taking the elevators.
2. There are miles and miles of paths along the Arkansas river here, not even 1/2 mile from where I live; I try - at least every other day - to do a speed walk/jog along the river for about 2 miles or more.
3. I go out of my way to walk and go out more and keep active.

I feel like I have adopted a much healthier lifestyle and attitude out here. Plus, my apartment is big enough to do laps in… literally!

Sooner or later, this lifestyle change will reflect in my weight and size. For the time being, I’m enjoying it.
